Profits more than double for U.S. carriers in Q3

The latest data from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics show that airlines in America reported a $3.2 billion profit in the third quarter this year. That figure is more than double the $1.4 billion profit reported in the same quarter last year.
