Students at a Massachusetts high school were better able to answer questions about the solar system after a lesson involving iPads, suggests Matthew Schneps, a researcher at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. All types of teaching and learning could benefit from a combination of verbal descriptions and 3D exploration that is often used in the sciences, Schneps said.
