Windows Phone Store hits 200,000 app milestone

Microsoft's online Windows Phone Store now contains 200,000 applications, compared with 100,000 in June 2012, Mark Hachman writes. Few of those apps are as popular as those in other app stores, he notes. He suggests five ways for the store to attain more users, including sell the apps and phones together, make developers the priority, find a unique app to market, seek out what users want and accommodate them, and stay away from the bad apps.
