Georgia Budget Cuts Hit Teacher Training

School districts in Georgia could stand to lose up to one-third of their staff development budgets if Gov. Roy Barnes' proposed state budget cuts take effect. Despite the cuts, $15 million set aside for teacher training in low-performing schools will not be touched, according to the governor's spokesperson.
