Iowa reveals energy-independence plan

Iowa has unveiled an energy-independence plan that calls for California-style emissions standards for new cars sold in the state. The plan also calls for massive cuts in greenhouse gas emissions, new renewable-energy and energy-efficiency requirements for utilities, a bigger push for renewable fuels and a congratulatory labeling system for energy-efficient buildings. Officials concede that implementing all of the plans ambitious initiatives will be a "tall order."
