ITC probes phone makers on Kodak patents

An Eastman Kodak complaint has spurred the U.S. International Trade Commission to investigate Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. Kodak alleges that those companies' cameraphones and other wireless devices have violated its patents. Kodak, which filed its suit last month, wants the ITC to ban the phone makers from importing and selling the phones in question in the U.S., saying its patents cover technology developed for capturing images, compression and data storage, as well as a way to preview certain images.
