7-Eleven buys 58 Boston-area White Hen Pantry c-stores

There will be a flock of new 7-Elevens in the Boston area next year: The king of convenience stores has purchased 58 White Hen Pantry locations and will convert them into 7-Eleven stores in 2010. "Franchisees will be able to capitalize on 7-Eleven's brand strength, extended [lineup] of proprietary and private label products, and proven business system," said White Hen CEO Andy Brothers, who reportedly has joined 7-Eleven and will helm the store conversions.
