BoE says banking sector has become "more stable"

The Bank of England said the UK financial system's situation has improved, helped by the central bank's quantitative-easing programme and low interest rates. However, in the latest edition of the central bank's Financial Stability Report, officials said commercial banks have work ahead of them to improve long-term stability.
