Low birth weight, preterm delivery may affect behavior

Study data reported in Pediatrics showed children born early and at a very low weight may be at higher risk for behavior problems, depression and anxiety. Researchers said birth weight, not IQ scores or socioeconomic status, was the strongest factor, suggesting a biological reason for the problems.
