Oregon gas-import terminal gets FERC clearance

A unit of Fort Chicago Energy Partners has secured the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's approval to build a liquefied natural gas import terminal and 234-mile Pacific Connector pipeline in Oregon. The $2.5 billion Jordan Cove project, which is expected to begin operations in 2014, would supply as much as 1 billion cubic feet of gas per day.
