Southwest chief says "never say never" on acquisitions

Gary Kelly, CEO of Southwest Airlines, said the low-cost carrier would consider mergers that would help it grow but that maintaining the company's point-to-point business model remains a priority. "I would never say never, and you know I won't give you a straight answer on that," Kelly said. He also said Southwest plans to be conservative despite the belief that the economy will see modest growth next year.
