Study suggests link between E. coli in food, UTIs

A Canadian study suggested E. coli bacteria in food also may cause some urinary tract infections. Researchers said the same bacteria from chicken found in stores and restaurants also were found in women with UTIs. The findings are the first to suggest a link between the food supply and UTIs, the report's lead author said.
