Women's abilities drive their success

Women business-owners are thriving in the down economy because of their communication skills and ability to form relationships, experts say. NAWBO estimates women own 10 million companies in the U.S., contribute $3 trillion to the economy annually and create or maintain 23 million jobs. "The importance of women-owned businesses has been increasing significantly and systematically over a number of years," says Maria Minniti, entrepreneurship professor at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business.
