Maritz's CEO will take top spot at CLIA

Christine Duffy, the CEO at Maritz Travel, will succeed Terry Dale at the helm of CLIA, according to an announcement made Thursday. "The cruise industry is extraordinarily fortunate to have Christine Duffy become the next president of CLIA," said Howard Frank, chairman of CLIA's executive committee and chief operating officer of Carnival. "She has demonstrated exceptional ability to lead and is extremely well-known and admired throughout the travel industry." After seven years with CLIA, Dale will become president of the U.S. Tour Operators Association on Jan. 1.
