H&M books smaller-than-expected sales dip

Same-store sales at H&M declined 1% in the quarter ended Nov. 30, a smaller-than-forecast drop that helped calm concerns about the negative effects of slower spending in Germany. Sales of fashions aimed at teens and twenty-somethings, H&M's core customers, rose 3% in Germany last month, the only clothing category to see an increase, according to industry magazine TextilWirtschaft.
