Mitsubishi to supply EVs for USC smart grid project

Mitsubishi Motors North America will provide its i-MiEV electric vehicles for the University of Southern California to use in its Smart Grid Living Laboratory program. The EVs will enable the USC researchers to "simulate a city with a population between 50,000 to 60,000 citizens, tourists, visitors and two hospitals as they document their experiences operating a fleet of electric vehicles under a wide range of conditions and simulations over a period of two years," according to Mitsubishi.
