Nickelodeon pulls SpongeBob app as group calls for investigation

The SpongeBob Diner Dash free game application was removed from the App Store after the Center for Digital Democracy complained that developers were violating privacy laws by collecting children's e-mails without parental permission. The center accused developer PlayFirst and Viacom of "deceptive marketing"; a Nickelodeon representative says the company pulled the app and is investigating the situation further.
