Star Alliance wants Air India back in partnership

On Friday, chief executives that make up the Star Alliance voted unanimously to let Air India into the alliance. The airline was formerly up for membership but its application was put on hold. "Star Alliance has long held the opinion that India is such an important aviation market that it should be fully represented in the alliance," said Mark Schwab, CEO of the alliance.
