U.K. bill would force banks to separate activities

U.K. lawmakers have approved a bill to overhaul the banking system after a series of rate-manipulation issues and mis-sales of financial products. The bill, which is expected to receive Queen Elizabeth's approval, would require banks to separate investment banking from retail operations. It also would hold senior bankers more accountable for problems.
