Fuel spike keeps more people home for the holidays

Higher fuel prices will prompt many people to remain home this holiday season, AAA said. AAA said domestic travel over the Christmas and New Year's holidays will rise just 0.7% from year-earlier levels. "Whether driving or flying, Americans face steep increases in their travel budgets during this Christmas-New Year's holiday," AAA President Robert Barbelnet said.
