At UN headquarters, an ice bridge to highlight warming

An ice bridge erected at the United Nations headquarters in New York Monday by Norwegian artist Vebjorn Sand using frozen Antarctic water will melt within a week. Sand erected the bridge in the hopes of dramatizing the dangers associated with melting glaciers, a move that comes after this year posted the most significant melt of Antarctic snow and ice in 30 years.
