Google, Exxon provide corporate investment in Virginia schools

The Fairfax, Va., school district has more than 300 partnerships with businesses, including Google and Exxon Mobile, for investments in its schools -- a trend that officials say they would like to continue as the national recession begins to take its toll on state and local budgets. The district's most recent venture includes a partnership with Google to provide software for students to enhance their geography education.
