Maryland school board offers way around graduation exams

The Maryland State Board of Education has approved a waiver for those students unable to pass exams required for high-school graduation beginning with the class of 2009. The waiver, which is just the most recent change to the graduation policy, allows those students who have completed courses and have a good attendance record but failed the exams to appeal the graduation requirement for a variety of reasons.
