Microsoft tries to dethrone Adobe's Flash with Silverlight software

Microsoft has been gaining ground on Adobe and its Flash technology by signing up Netflix and other Web sites to uses its rival Silverlight technology. Adobe, whose Flash player is on about 98% of Web-connected PCs, has about a two-year lead on Microsoft, whose system is available on about 25% of PCs, according to this article.
