Women are using a Facebook application from J.C. Penney to shame their husbands and boyfriends into improving their gift selection. The "Beware of the Doghouse" video allows users to consign their loved ones to a virtual doghouse, which can be escaped only via a click on a jewelry-store link. Victoria's Secret also is using Facebook to good effect -- its presence has attracted more than 800,000 fans.
