Conference Board's leading indicators point to solid recovery

Posting its eighth consecutive month of improvement, The Conference Board's index of leading economic indicators moved up 0.9% in November, supporting economists who said the U.S. is beginning a sustained recovery. The research group said six of the index's 10 indicators went up. The result outpaced the 0.7% increase predicted by economists surveyed by Thomson Reuters.
