As chief security technology officer at BT Group, Bruce Schneier flies about 170 times a year, and he has his security routine down to a science. Schneier tells The Wall Street Journal that he never argues about apparently arbitrary decisions like confiscating a sandwich, because "you might win, but you're going to miss your flight." Rather than ever more-elaborate security at the airport, Schneier says the goal should be to catch terrorists early. "Airports are the last line of defense," he argues.
