Insiders say Moynihan is up to challenge of being BofA chief

Brian Moynihan has his work cut out for him as he prepares to take over as CEO at Bank of America. Insiders and observers have voiced confidence in the 50-year-old lawyer, who is known as a "workaholic." "He was best candidate from day one," said Terry Murray, former CEO of FleetBoston Financial, which BofA acquired in 2004. "It would have been bad to go outside because whoever it was would have to spend six months laying on hands with employees in the U.S. and around world. The next year or two is going to be all blocking and tackling and execution. Brian's good at it. He's a prodigious worker."
