Report: Los Angeles roads worst in nation

Southern California's crumbling roads cost the average motorist about $2,500 each year, according to a new report. "A safe and more efficient transportation system is critical to economic recovery," said Carolyn Bonifas, associate director of research and communication for The Road Information Program. The report also concluded Los Angeles roads are the worst in the nation, with 92% of roads rated in poor or mediocre condition.
