Will Obama be able to improve small-business lending?

In an AllBusiness commentary, Keith Girard says it remains to be seen whether President Barack Obama can "crack the code on small-business lending in the current economy." Credit for small companies remains tight, despite a yearlong effort by the Obama administration to change that. Obama should be concerned that when banks do start lending to small businesses, the interest rates might be burdensome, Girard writes.
