Are colleges preparing teachers for online education?

Some research has predicted that by 2014, 13% of instruction will be only online. Online-education providers say that few colleges and universities are preparing students to be online educators. "It's one of the topics that we preach about and we ask about and try to get colleges interested in, and it's like pulling teeth," said Fred Miller of the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School. "We have some terrific teaching colleges, but to get more online education into their curriculum has just proven a tough nut to crack."
