Take time for yourself without taking a hit on your business

It can be difficult for business owners to take vacation time, but planning well in advance can help, Laura Vanderkam writes. "Knowing your vacation times at least a few months in advance lets you build that lack of availability into your client proposals and plan your pipeline accordingly," she writes. Consider your business cycle when planning vacations and try to get your staff or colleagues to pick up the slack while you are gone, she recommends.
