Weight-loss drug shows benefits without side effects

Obesity expert and professor Stephen Bloom of the Imperial College London has created an experimental weight-loss drug that doesn't appear to have unwanted side effects. The drug, called OAP-189, works by mimicking the hormone oxyntomodulin, which the body produces upon sensing satiety. OAP-189 has been bought by Pfizer and is in the early stages of human trials.
