Art galleries to take over first floor of Atlantic City parking garage

Atlantic City, N.J., officials have announced plans to convert the first floor of a $30 million parking garage into an art retail space, which is part of a plan to establish an arts district in the city. "Atlantic City has a tremendous arts community, but it hasn't yet been fully formed. I'd like to think that this will create the energy behind other improvements. I hope we can create enough momentum to sustain this," Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Executive Director John Palmieri said of the project.
