Economy's ups and downs don't stop organic growth

The growth of organic food sales slowed somewhat after the recession hit, but the rate never fell below 5%. Demand is rising faster as the economy improves. U.S. consumers spent $30 billion on organic food and drink last year, according to a trade group. Rising demand continues despite mixed messages about the health aspects and nutritional value of pricier organic eats.
