Online retailers prepare for pre-Christmas rush

Online retailers are pulling out all the stops to push back their cutoff-point for accepting Christmas orders. Some retailers expect to get 10% of their day's sales during the last hour they're still accepting Christmas orders, prompting executives to meet with shipping firm representatives and to revamp label-printing and other logistical tools to streamline their order processing. "It's beyond critical. Having a few hours over a competitor could be a seven-figure event," said Chris Mastrangelo, Karmaloop's chief operating officer.
