Recovery roof could prevent leaks at civic center in Texas

There are more than 50 leaks in the roof of the Waxahachie Civic Center in Texas, some caused by failed repairs and some by missing items that were required by code, according to Exterior Consulting Innovations. ECI recommended two options to deal with the problem: application of a watertight coating or installation of a recovery roof. The recovery roof made of metal panels and insulation could help stop the leaks permanently at the facility, said City Manager Paul Stevens.
