Lightpath offers account-management tools for use during emergencies

Cablevision's Lightpath unit is offering new features to help business clients handle problems with their phone and e-mail systems arising from extreme weather or other emergencies. The new tools include a Firebar service to easily facilitate conference calls during emergencies and an online portal to make related account changes without having to dial customer service. "The voice-based features that Lightpath is introducing today gives our customers more control and flexibility when it's needed most," said Julia McGrath, Lightpath's senior vice president of marketing and business development.
