British bill to expand teachers' disciplinary powers

Provisions in a February education bill will give British headteachers specific legal rights to discipline bullies and disruptive pupils. Secondary Heads Association General Secretary John Dunford hopes the new rules will deter inappropriate legal challenges filed by parents on behalf of their "badly behaved" children.
