Experts highlight benefits, problems with RFID

RFID chips offer up-to-date patient information and speed, but they also have drawbacks since they are in the infancy of their development, according to researchers. Currently, about 200 U.S. hospitals offer RFID readers, but one scientist said there is little data on how well informed doctors are about the technology and what information they are giving to patients.
