Marital troubles linked to poorer breast cancer recovery

Women who have marital problems have poorer breast cancer outcomes, according to an Ohio State study of 100 patients. Researchers found breast cancer patients with troubled marriages had higher levels of stress, were less active, had slower recoveries and more symptoms of illness than those in happy relationships. The study also confirmed other data showing most women don't see a change in the quality of their marriage after their cancer diagnosis.
