Feds study possible effects of seismic research along Atlantic Coast

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement started work on an environmental-impact statement that will study the possible effects of permitting seismic research along the Atlantic Coast. "This work will enable us to carefully and responsibly identify the resources that meet our nation's energy needs while protecting the Atlantic and its coastal communities," said Michael Bromwich, the bureau's director.
