$3.5B Wyoming-Nevada transmission line project advances

Pathfinder Renewable Wind Energy has chosen Duke-American Transmission Co. to develop a $3.5 billion transmission line project that would stretch from Wyoming to Nevada. The Zephyr transmission line project would deliver electricity from Pathfinder's proposed 2,100-megawatt wind project near Chugwater, Wyo., to customers in California. "The success of this transmission project is dependent upon on the success of Pathfinder's generation project, and vice versa," said John Flynn, vice president of strategic planning and business development for American Transmission Co.
