The Transportation Security Administration recently ordered more than 300 millimeter-wave body scanners, writes Tony Bizjak in the Sacramento Bee. The order suggests that the TSA is moving away from X-ray scanners that some critics say pose health risks. However, the TSA said it ordered the millimeter-wave scanners because the company that makes them was quicker to switch to new software that shows only generic images of travelers' bodies.
