Congress will deal with aviation, highway budget early next year

Congress is expected to discuss the Federal Aviation Administration's funding woes early next year as the Jan. 31 deadline of the temporary extension nears. House Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman John Mica, R-Fla., is confident that an agreement can be reached by then, but a resolution on the FAA's funding may trigger a debate on how the government should spend on highway and road projects.
