TransCanada says it will work to secure approval for Keystone XL

The Senate's approval of a spending bill that includes language to accelerate the ruling for TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline "would have some bearing" on the project's ultimate timeline, the company said. TransCanada added that it will cooperate with the State Department to move Keystone XL forward. "We look forward to learning in the coming days how this latest development will affect the ultimate approval process for our project," said Russ Girling, president and CEO of TransCanada.
