Cruise lines are turning to alcohol packages to draw budget travelers

The recent explosion of all-inclusive alcohol packages among mass-market cruise lines may reflect an attempt by the segment to entice the more price-conscious consumer, travel agents say. "Nothing's worse than going on a cruise and knowing at the end of the day you have a $2,000 bar tab. Then everyone isn't relaxed -- they have to budget," said Jennifer Binish, an agent with Travelex International.
