National retail chains drive outlet mall growth

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers CEO Steve Tanger sees the potential for as many as 100 new U.S. outlet malls in the coming years. The industry's growth is driven in large part by national chains including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s, which are increasingly looking to their outlet stores to boost sales and future growth.
