Elementary-school students solve math problems for a good cause

Students at an elementary school in Michigan participated this year in the national St. Jude Math-A-Thon. Educators gave students math workbooks, where they recorded their donations, totaling more than $7,000. "The kids get the math practice on it and they get to know they're helping children receive treatment without them having to pay a penny," teacher Jennifer Johnson said.
