Exec: Climate change, cyberinsurance are among critical trends

Peter Hancock of AIG Property Casualty says the key trends his business is monitoring include climate change, cyberinsurance and alternative capacity. "Although 2013 was mostly a benign weather year, modeling perils must make presumptions that weather events will become more severe," Hancock said at an industry event. Development in urban and suburban areas is also likely to contribute to higher catastrophe losses, he said.
